Looking for a new start or just want to explore?
The California CareerZone has three assessment activities that will help you consider your interests and see how those interests relate to a variety of occupations. You can use the California CareerZone Workbook (PDF, 640 KB) to keep track of your discoveries along the way.
You can jump right into exploring Industry Sectors on the California CareerZone, with information on over 900 occupations including: Job Definition, Interests, Tasks, Skills, Knowledge, Education, School Classes, Wages, Outlook, Similar Jobs, and Job Openings.
California Reality Check will help you explore how much money you need to make to maintain the lifestyle of your choosing.
Create A Career Action Plan
If you have more time, or would prefer to do these activities on paper, you can use the California Career Planning Guide, second edition. This guide contains all the steps and information you will need to develop a Career Action Plan including a nice list of resources for each step in the guide.
Looking for inspiration? Take a road trip
