Adult Education

Career Counseling
Career counseling is part of a comprehensive counseling program. Career counseling assists students and adults in career planning and provides the foundation for acquiring the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that enable students to make a successful transition from school to the world of work.
Industrial & Technical Education
Industrial and Technology Education (ITE) prepares kindergarten-through-university students for successful transition to the workforce and participation in the home, community, and post-secondary education. Students in ITE programs today are mastering curricula featuring basic scientific principles, mathematical concepts, and communication skills in the career pathways of building trades and construction technology, engineering and design technology, manufacturing and product development technology, transportation technology, and energy and utilities technology.
Regional Occupational Centers and Programs
Regional Occupational Centers and Programs (ROCPs): career and workforce preparation for high school students and adults, preparation for advanced training, and the upgrading of existing skills.
Workforce Development
Explains how public education participates with workforce development efforts to provide the crucial skills and lifelong learning opportunities needed for career study, success, and personal fulfillment.
Work Experience
Provides paid or unpaid on-the-job experiences for secondary school students through training agreements with employers. Types of work experience programs are: vocational; general; and exploratory.
